Great friendly staff , almost always have what you're looking for in stock
I thought I could trust this place. But never again. Ever. The building's architecture invites floods of light through the ceilings and glass walls. You can't hide. At all. A man was following me from the locker room at the rec center immediately next door, and I thought I could lose him weaving in and out of the tall shelves in the adult fiction/nonfiction sections. Wrong. I started crying when he approached me and threatened me with some embarrassing blackmail. On the way to his long white van, the librarians avoided my fearful begging glances, each one averting their embarrassed eyes to their menial fulfilling tasks. I wanted to scream for help but the man would have exposed me. I even tried to prolong leaving by checking out a movie, but I had too many fines that I couldn't afford to pay. My fate was practically sealed when I got into the man's van. The library really let me down, without any remote possibility of reconciliation at this point really.
I think this library in Herriman is better than the South Jordan Library. They have many; books, movies and cd's as well as periodicals. There is a larger teenager study section for tweens and high schoolers. And a very big children's and young readers area. They usually have puppets and toys for the younger children to play with. There are plenty of seats, and lots of good places to study or read. I believe this Herriman location has the most books on CD which I love.
We had a few DVDS and books that we forgot to return for a month. We were charged 90 dollars of late fees. Late fees I definitely understand but for items that were mostly donated freely or little price this policy makes no sense whatsoever. The late fees are way to high and this library to me is not worth going back to.
The county libraries are great, and it is the best library experience that I have seen. They could still improve their collections, but the fact that they share between libraries vastly improves the collections.
